My name is Will Smith, I’ve spent more than 40 years immersed in the world of wine. My passion was sparked early on, where the tasting of a 1981 Chateau Beaucastel, Chateauneuf Du Pape changed the direction of my life.

My career began in Washington, D.C., where I served as Manager of the historic 1925 F Street Club. There, I had the honor of pouring wine for two U.S. Presidents. As American wine culture blossomed, particularly in California, I grew with it—working as a wine director, wine broker, and wine consultant in Washington D.C.

 A turning point came when I was offered the role of Director of Wine Education at Robert Mondavi Winery—personally invited by Mr. Mondavi himself. That opportunity, combined with life in Napa Valley, supercharged my career. I went on to hold leadership roles with Diageo Chateau & Estates Wines and Treasury Wine Estates, deepening my expertise in global wine markets.

As my scope of wines from around the world grew, so did my credentials, achieving Certified Sommelier certificate from the Court of Master Sommelier’s, and WSET Advanced Level III certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust in London. Additionally, I am certified to teach WSET I and II level Award in Wines.

After 25 years of visiting family here in Naples, we decided to call it home in 2018.

I continue to be actively involved in the vibrant Naples wine scene and most recently found a new passion for local Real Estate joining Premier Sotheby’s International Realty. I still enjoy sharing stories with friends, clients and anyone who appreciates a good glass and a great story.
